As a provocateur for social justice, I advocate for change through creative and scholarly pursuits from the privacy of my New Hampshire hermitage. I am an X-acto knife-wielding, mixed-media artist, writer, and scholar who uses visual memoir, storytelling, and research to gain narrative power and galvanize audiences.

  • (The Margins): Coming this fall! (The Margins) is a companion publication to the disability project, Missives from the Margins. Using stories and art to amplify cross-disability perspectives, Missives from the Margins will be published on the Disability Rights Center website. As the companion, (The Margins) is where readers can come to do a deeper dive into the related language, history, and culture of the topics covered in each issue of Missives from the Margins.

  • In Your Backyard (IYB): Joining the ranks of the many ambitious zine-makers before me, IYB is a one-and-done volume project once intended to be an ongoing hybrid zine. The vision for IYB was to create a zine that told the real stories of New Hampshire residents in a way that united community members around social issues. Published in the summer of 2023, the one and only volume of IYB focused on telling resident stories about housing: finding it, affording it, losing it, and more. This volume was part of a larger project called The Many Faces of New Hampshire’s Housing Crisis, which was supported by the University of New Hampshire's Global, Racial, and Social Inequality Lab (GRSIL). It was out of this summer project that Missives from the Margins was conceived.
